Spherical bench spring | Custom zigzag spring / wave spring

Convex bank spring, also known zigzag spring, wave spring or nosag spring mentioned, for replacing broken, worn, or sagging springs in sofas and other seating furniture.

This version has a rounder shape than a standard bench spring and is delivered made to measure. Ideal if you want to replace an existing convex bench spring yourself.

How do I measure a convex bench spring?

Measure the bench spring when it completely relaxed is. Preferably use an existing, intact spring from your sofa as a template.

Measure with a tape measure over the curvature of the spring, from one end to the other end. The length you measure in this way is the size you need when ordering.

Therefore, do not measure only the straight distance between the attachment points. Due to the convex shape of this bench spring, the actual length of the spring can deviate significantly from this.

Extra support with Nosag elastics

For better load distribution, Nosag elastic bands can be placed between the bench springs. This connects the individual springs to each other, distributing the load more evenly across multiple springs.

This is particularly interesting when the foam padding above the springs has softened due to years of use. The extra support can ensure that the seat feels more even and firm again.

Replacing a bulging bench spring yourself

Is one of the bulb springs in your sofa broken or worn out? Then the entire suspension often does not need to be replaced. When the remaining springs and the frame if they are still in good condition, you can replace the damaged bench spring separately.
